I'm insatiably curious. I want to know all the stuff and share it. And so, I'm a storyteller.
My passion for visual storytelling is rooted the early years of my career as a photojournalist and in the indelible and undeniably visceral impact that images have on the heart and soul. The skills I developed as a photojournalist from making an immediate connection with people to working at a fast pace to get the job done and meet the daily deadline serves me well to fulfill the needs of the advertising and commercial world. Regardless of the project the thread of my work is establishing a bond with the viewer through the empathy of our shared experiences.
In addition to my two decades of photography experience, I have been an entrepreneur where I drove the business operations of the early stages of a small-scale ferry operation in San Francisco. I guided the startup phase to prepare the business for rapid growth. I used my experience as a journalist and my endless curiosity diving into the unknown, navigate some choppy waters and find success. This experience put me in the position to have first hand appreciation for the client's perspective when they have a lot riding on each shoot.
I like to think I have a healthy balance of right and left brain thinking. I'm able to push the envelope when the creative challenge calls for it while at the same time staying mindful of meeting and exceeding the strategic and focused needs of a creative brief and budgetary limits.

This brand has life because of your photography.
– Katie Mae Ward, Senior Account Manager. STRADA
You were able to capture a great assortment of seriousness and lightheartedness, which speaks directly to who they are and what we hope to represent through their new branding and website. Other law firms in their space (and beyond) are going to be envious when they see this photography.
– Taylor Wenner, Art Director. BRIAN COMMUNICATIONS
Your photography went such a long way in telling this very sensitive, compassionate story about what it means to be a social worker, and particularly what it means to be a social worker who is educated at Bryn Mawr College's Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research. It was a pleasure for Kismet Communications to partner with you.
– Rachel Beanland, APR, Principal. KISMET COMMUNICATIONS
I want to thank you for going the extra mile to capture the small town feel. Most photographers would have blown it off when circumstances did not present themselves.
– Jean Herr, Photography Editor, PACE Communications for Verizon Mobile
